Transcript Fees

Fees set out in this section are in accordance with the Regulation under The Law Fees and Probate Charge Act for transcripts of court proceedings. 

A page of transcript consists of 34 typewritten lines produced in compliance with the standards of Transcription Services of the Department of Justice. Fees quoted are per page as follows:

(a) for each court transcript produced within twenty-one (21) business* days (or extended as agreed) from the date request is received by Transcription Services (Regular Service)


(i) for the first copy ordered by a party (any format) $3.00
(ii) for a copy of the same transcript ordered by another party, $0.80
(iii) for each additional paper copy ordered by the same party, $0.35
(iv) for an electronic copy ordered by another party (without a paper copy) $0.40


(b) for each court transcript produced within seven (7) business* days from the date request is received by Transcription Services (Expedited Service)

(i) for the first copy ordered by a party (any format) $4.50
(ii) for a copy of the same transcript ordered by another party, $2.25
(iii) for each additional copy ordered by the same party $0.50
(iv) for an electronic copy ordered by another party (without a paper copy) $1.15


(c) for each court transcript produced within three (3) business* days following the date the request is received by Transcription Services (Priority Service)

(i) for the first copy ordered by a party (any format) $5.50
(ii) for a copy of the same transcript ordered by another party $2.75
(iii) for each additional copy ordered by the same par

 

The fee for an electronic copy of a transcript previously provided in any format, produced on a PDF document,  CD or Word format, is $0.25 per page, up to 100 pages per day, then $25.00 flat rate per day, in addition to the applicable fee set out for producing a paper copy of the transcript. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is charged on services provided except when the transcript is ordered by Legal Aid Manitoba or the provincial Department of Justice.

Fees shall be paid by cash, certified cheque, money order, bank draft, law firm trust account cheque.
